How this analysis works
Collection Reviews are collected from publicly available Google Maps listings and periodically refreshed. Review IDs are used to prevent duplicates when a listing is collected again.
Sentiment Written comments are classified as positive, mixed or negative using a rule-based score: 70% from the star rating and 30% from keyword signals. Scores above 0.25 are positive, below −0.25 negative, and otherwise mixed. Negation, sarcasm and context may be misclassified. Ratings without comments remain “rating only”.
Topics Recurring subjects are detected from phrases associated with learning progress, staff, confidence, individual attention and practice. One review can mention several topics.
Averages The review-weighted figure gives every review equal weight. The centre-weighted figure first averages each centre, then gives every centre equal weight.
Safeguards Regional comparisons require at least five centres and 50 reviews. Time comparisons require at least 50 reviews in each 12-month period.
Limitations Google reviewers are self-selecting, automated labels can be imperfect, and the collected sample is not a random national survey and does not establish educational outcomes. Wider coverage alone does not remove selection bias.
Analysis last refreshed Oct 2026. Known-centre coverage uses an approximate denominator of 211 SPAIN locations.
